Chelsea 2018-19 Nike Away Kit
Nike has released its first-ever yellow Chelsea kit ahead of the new season. The new Nike Chelsea 2018-2019 away jersey was launched on July 20.
The first-ever yellow Chelsea kit was worn in 1963, before it was made famous in the 1970s. Chelsea last wore a yellow alternative kit in the 2014-15 season, made by Adidas back then.
On the inside neckline sits a lion from the club crest. Around it reads ‘Football is the game’, the second line of ‘Blue is the Colour’, their famous anthem and the first line of the song, which features in the home shirt and provides continuity between home and away kits.
The new Chelsea 2018-2019 away kit is yellow in a rather basic design with just a subtle zig-zag pattern appearing on the sleeves in ‘ice yellow’. A ‘Football is the game’ (second line of Chelsea’s club anthem ‘Blue is the colour’) pride graphic appears on the inside neck of Chelsea’s 18-19 away jersey.
Blue trim in the form of the collar, Swoosh and Yokohama Tyres writing round off the simple look of the Nike Chelsea 2018-2019 away shirt.
Yellow shorts in the style of the shirt and blue socks with yellow trim complete the Chelsea 2018-2019 away kit.
